Realtor.ca is introducing a new feature in Saskatchewan, with listings now displaying a “sold” status once a firm sale is in place. The update, launched Nov. 12, allows consumers to follow a property’s full life cycle, from active to conditional to sold to closed. The Saskatchewan Realtors Association (SRA) says sold prices will be kept private and available only through a Realtor.
The change, according to SRA, acts as a “digital sold sign” and will help buyers and sellers better understand market activity in a province where listings often move quickly due to low inventory. Once possession occurs, only basic public information such as the address, map and Street View image will remain visible on the platform, in line with provincial advertising rules.
Saskatchewan’s move follows several regional initiatives aimed at giving consumers clearer insight into real estate markets. Greater Vancouver Realtors began publishing sold prices for listings on Realtor.ca in April. allowing consumers to view final sale amounts once transactions close, while Nova Scotia was the first province to make sold prices visible on the platform in 2023.
Realtor.ca can only display sale-specific data when local boards and associations opt in.
