Saskatchewan Realtors Association (SRA) has hired Tyler Hudy as its new vice president of public affairs and communications.
Hudy, who started the role this week, most recently worked in digital strategy for public affairs firm Earnscliffe Strategies. Before that, he was in the political realm, holding various positions with the City of Regina and the Saskatchewan government.
“I am honoured to join the SRA to help advance the voice of Saskatchewan’s real estate industry at this pivotal time,” said Hudy.
“Housing is one of the most important public policy challenges of our generation. It connects to affordability, growth, labour attraction, and the strength of the places where we live and work,” said Hudy. “I truly believe Saskatchewan has a unique opportunity to lead, and the real estate sector is at the centre of that opportunity.”
Saskatchewan has one of Canada’s hottest housing markets today. Last month, 1,433 homes changed hands, down nearly six per cent from last year’s record-breaking pace but still well above historical norms. According to the SRA, the province has now logged 28 consecutive months of above-average sales.
